Dear Human,

You are an amazing creature with awesome powers.  

You can create new worlds and imagine the unimaginable!

Furthermore, you are part of an amazing species with a long history of invention and innovation.  

As a human, you rely on other humans for your survival.  

Together, humans thrive! 

This world we live in is made possible by humans, working together and leveraging technology to do amazing things.

Wait…

Do you feel like you are on your own? Are you afraid that everyone will notice that you do not have things under control? You feel like your survival depends upon what you can do, but you just might not be up to that task...

Then welcome! You are not alone.

What we noticed…

The world is always changing – and we humans are part of that change.

Today’s technology connects people and things across the globe.  The ability to collect data is expansive and the capacity to interpret that data continues to increase.  The list of new technologies grows – as does the list of things left behind.

What comes next will be led by humans – what they care about, how they are able to collaborate and communicate with others and what they choose to create (as well as what they choose to leave behind). 

Then why do we feel so alone?

Somewhere along the way, we lost sight of what makes humans, well, human.  

We were led to believe that each of us is ‘self-made’ and that hard work and determination was what was required to succeed.

And if you didn’t make it, then something was off – in you.

But you are not broken or defective or incomplete!

Nothing is wrong with anyone.  Each of us is enough.

And each of us needs help.  Not because there is something missing, but because humans are not meant to survive on their own.

Relying on others seems risky.  And, because of that, a part of each human is afraid –

• Afraid of being alone
• Afraid of not being accepted by others
• Afraid of not being good enough to be included
  

What is Missing?

Even though humans thrive when we work together, no one seems to be helping people learn how to do that.

In fact, we are not even taught about what it means to be human.  

• How do we know what we know?
• How do we learn?
• What can humans do that machines can’t?
  

What did we do?

We created a learning community – a safe place for people to learn with and from each other about what it means to be human - including how to actually connect with others.

Everyone starts from where they are – no prerequisites.
